Dr Susanne Wiborg is Reader in Education at UCL Institute of Education, London, UK. Her work focuses on the intersection between party politics and interest group lobbyism in reforming education systems in European countries, and its consequences for schools and pupils. Her most recent books are The Comparative Politics of Education: Teacher Unions and Educations Systems Around the World, Cambridge University Press, 2017, (edited with Terry M. Moe, Stanford University) and Education and Social Integration: Comprehensive Schooling in Europe, Palgrave MacMillan, 2009. She has another book in the pipeline: Who Controls Education? The Rising Power of Vested Interests in Europe. She is also the Director of the research project: Admission Impossible? School Choice in European Cities, funded by the Norwegian Research Council. She has received media coverage in the respect of her politics research in e.g., The Times, The Guardian, The Financial Times, BBC, Newsweek, and Prospect.
